GWR – Newbury Station

Newbury station was first open on the 21st December, 1847, providing onward travel for thousands of passengers.

We have recently been tasked with the refurbishment of multiple rooms at Newbury Train Station for our client GWR, as they were no longer fit for purpose and also considerably out-dated. The project aimed to enhance functionality, improve aesthetics, and ensure compliance with modern safety and accessibility standards. We had to carry out a complete rip out of the existing rooms in order to upgrade them to better conditions.

Client Feedback:

“I wanted to take a moment to express mine, and the whole team at Newbury’s sincere gratitude for all the support you’ve provided during the recent construction work at the station.

Throughout the project, Honeyfield Property Services has been incredibly helpful and accommodating to the needs of the station staff and our overall goals. The team kept us updated daily, sought our input, and even made design adjustments, such as blocking up an additional door and positioning fixings where we preferred. None of these changes were an issue, and it has been a real delight to have such a professional and responsive team on-site.

From day one, your commitment to maintaining a high standard of workmanship has been evident. You have been not only professional but also genuinely helpful at every stage of the process, and we appreciate your dedication.

Once again, thank you for everything. It’s been a pleasure working with you all, and I hope to bump into you and the team on future projects across GWR.”
